From Fresno, meet California Rep Alena, Be Strong’s September 2019 Student of the Month!

Alena, a senior from Edison High and a rockstar representative for Be Strong, has an incredible passion to see the empowerment of youth.
Alena is committed to the betterment of society, advocating in her community and helping to spread the message that we are all better together. She chooses to serve her peers by extending her voice in the hopes that others will discover theirs.
While new to the program, Alena has already made a huge impact on us. It is always exciting to co-labor with someone with such strong character. “Alena is a straight A student who really cares about others as much as she cares about herself. She is committed to the betterment of society, and is willing to sacrifice her time and efforts for this cause. She sees the best in people even when they do not see it in themselves. Her energy is infectious and her personality bubbly and fun,”- said Edison High School’s WDT Advisor and School Psychologist, Wayne Jones.
