Pop Superstar Jacob Sartorius Partners with Be Strong to Help Stop Bullying in America
Deerfield Beach, Fla., January 23, 2018 – Be Strong, a non-profit organization dedicated to stopping bullying across America, today announces a partnership with pop superstar Jacob Sartorius to support the group’s proven empowerment and resiliency programs.
Considered one of the most engaged users across social media, the 15-year-old Jacob will use his highly influential platform to encourage students and families to become proactive in leveraging Be Strong’s easy-to-use tools and programs to help stop bullying. Jacob will also be working alongside Be Strong’s student-led programs to raise awareness of bullying as one of the top safety, health and social issues in the U.S. To kick off their partnership in raising awareness and implementing specific, successful methods for creating sustainable change, Jacob has made a personal donation to Be Strong.
“Like many of my fans, I have also experienced some form of bullying therefore it’s important to me to use my voice in support of the fight against social injustice. I have always tried to spread positivity with everything I do and now in partnership with Be Strong I can continue to help with great work that they have done to spread the message of empowerment,” says Jacob.
By getting active with Be Strong’s Student State Representative Program, kids go into their schools, communities and hearts of those around them every month to help create change in three key areas: advocacy, awareness and acts of kindness.
Outside of the monthly efforts, students host school-wide events or screenings of the Be Strong documentary that launches the organization’s comprehensive approach in their school designed to jumpstart and sustain culture change. In addition, Be Strong student representatives speak at community events and meet with mayors, school districts and state civic leaders while providing the Be Strong app as a real-time resource.
Said Ashleigh E. Cromer, executive director of Be Strong: “Be Strong is thrilled to partner with Jacob Sartorius. We are especially excited that he is not only partnering to make a significant impact but that he is also making a personal donation. It is rare to come across a young man who is so clear on issues that matter and who is determined to make a significant and positive impact. We believe that people of all ages, and especially young people, will be inspired by Jacob speaking up against bullying and spreading the word about Be Strong its mission and its unique and proven approach to helping people of all ages deal with bullying.”
Added Cromer: “When I was first introduced to Jacob, I was overwhelmed by his natural ability to encourage the difference in himself and his fans. I remember one of the first tweets I read said: ‘I’m cutting my hair off because it doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside. It matters who you are on the inside.’”
Be Strong’s partnership with Sartorius will be coordinated with his upcoming tour. More details will be released in the near future.
