Your State Representatives
State Representative Kianna W.
“YI choose to Be Strong in my school and community by being a leader and role model to those around me. Bullying is a serious issue that needs to be eradicated and not many shed light on the effects of bullying. I know what it feels like to be a target of bullying so I don’t want anyone to feel alone or unappreciated. “
Why Kianna are Nominated:
Kianna is an 8th Grader at Wallace Middle School where she also serves as a member of the Student Council. Kianna embraces diversity and inclusion and has a passion for helping others. She is very attentive, humble, responsible, and caring. She is using her platform to create awareness around inclusivity in the school in an effort to make the students feel more welcomed and safe. Kianna hopes to create a mentorship program where student and educators can collaborate their efforts to eradicate bullying both in the schools and on social media platforms. She hopes that her efforts will encourage students throughout the school districts in Connecticut to be more accepting to each and every student irrespective of their unique differences and embrace diversity while creating an inclusive environment.
