State Representative Jordan G.

“One of the ways I plan to Be Strong in the future is to not let anybody’s negativity affect my growth and success in any way.”

-Jordan

Why Jordan G. was Nominated:

This student has overcome a different type of bullying. Jordan has both parents asteachers and coaches. With that comes lots of teasing, made fun of, isolation, shaming, etc… Jordan constantly tries to invite classmates and peers to events such asserving others, camps, combines, etc.. Right nowheis nationally ranked and continues to struggle with peer approval. The best part about Jordan ishe continues to help other students with homework, is extremely friendly with all classmates, and truly believes that he will continue to give God his best everyday.

State Representative Shaun M.

Shaun - Nevada Student Rep Profil Image

“We’re going to show that school can be great, without any hate!”

-Shaun

Why Shaun was Nominated:

For the past two years, during our You Matter Week, Shaun has launched his own program at our school called “Lunch Buddies.” During this week, he teams up with Student Council, Key Club and National Honors Society to identify students who are alone at lunch. These students start simple conversation with them and invite them to the library to redeem a card for a free cookie. Once the students are in the library they are invited to enjoy the cookie (and their lunch) with other students. These students then get to know the individuals and form a friendship. It is his mission to make this into a bigger movement so after he graduates in 2019 students at Liberty know that WE DINE TOGETHER. I am excited to partner with him on this adventure.

State Representative Pamela H.

“I won’t stand by and let another person get picked on or bullied, you can be an up-stander too!”

-Pam

Why Pam H. was Nominated:

I would like to nominate Pamela Heckman. She is involved in student council and some other after school activities. She stands up for her friends and is always very helpful in her class with her peers. She is always going out of her way to help welcome our new students.
