Labor Omnia Vincit: “Work Conquers All”
Your State Representatives
State Representative Alyssa P.
“I think if I could touch one life, that’s a job well done.”
Why Alyssa was Nominated:
Alyssa is an amazing young woman. She strives to make a difference for others and make everyone feel included. She is an active participant in the Miss Teen Oklahoma pageant circle where she advocates for others to be the best versions of themselves they can. In a recent discussion about life, Alyssa shared with me the reason she is so passionate about helping others feel included. As a child, she suffered from a speech impediment. She told me she spent almost every day in elementary school sitting alone at the lunch table while others ridiculed her. As a result of this experience, she has decided to start a “We Dine Together” program at out school. The goal of this program is that everyone knows there is somewhere to go and with someone they can have lunch. She said, “No one should ever have to feel the way I did.” It is for these reasons that I believe Alyssa should be a Be Strong representative.

Studies show that during the winter months, lack of sunlight, dark clouds and drop in temperatures can kick off the “winter blues.”
When someone is hating on you, they’re trying to get a reaction out of you for their own personal enjoyment.
