State Representative Dane D.

Dane - South Carolina Student Rep Profile Image“I want to make high school a better environment for all those who sit alone.”

-Dane

Why Dane was Nominated:

Dane has taken the initiative of starting WE DINE TOGETHER at our school. He has gathered students who would like to get involved. He has a plan to spread the program to middle schools and neighboring high schools. Dane is a passionate, organized and hard working individual with a big heart. I believe he has a strong interest in impacting our community here in Pendleton and would be an excellent addition to your organization.

State Representative Mallorie B.

Mallorie Profile Image“I don’t want anyone to go through the feeling of being alone and not having a friend by their side.”

-Mallorie

Why Mallorie was Nominated:

Mallorie is the student council memeber that brought the idea of We Dine Together to me as the sponsor. She has a strong desire to get this started at our school. Not only is she a student leader, but a kind and empathetic community leader in the making.

State Representative Camryn H.

Camryn Profile Image“I hope I can help others learn to be more caring, understanding & accepting.”

-Camryn

Why Camryn was Nominated:

When I first heard about your organization, I was excited about the possibility to include Lexington High School. Our family is all about inclusion of others, and I know there are lots of students that feel the same way at our school, I believe they just need some guidance on how to implement it into the school day-especially at lunch time. Camryn is one of the most kind-hearted, sweet and respectful teenage girls that I know, and I’ve been around a lot of them! She is on-board and excited about this opportunity!

State Representative Savannah J.

Savannah Profile Image“I choose to Be Strong in my school, community, and in the hearts of those around me by making people feel comfortable… go up to someone, say hi.”

-Savannah

Why Savannah was Nominated:

Savannah would be perfect for Be Strong and WeDineTogether. She is on student council and is a three sport athlete and I witness her walking up to strangers and making conversation. She is outgoing and has empathy and could make this movement possible at our school of nearly 2000 students.

State Representative London C.

Savannah Profile Image“We Dine Together Club is definitely needed in my school as I have seen many students sitting alone even in the guidance office and teachers classrooms. I hope that by starting this club, it gives community, shows that students aren’t alone and that there are people who want to be friends with them.
I hope with this it will stop bullying quite as much and show others how good and kind you can be to others. I want to end bullying!”

– London

Why London was Nominated:

She is a seniors in high school, very outgoing and caring. She in involved in many clubs such as FCA, and HOSA. She is also a cheerleader. I truly do believe she can get this started on the right foot within our school.

– Jayla

Why Jayla was Nominated:

Jayla is what everyone knows as a social butterfly! She loves and cares for everyone and starts her day with a smile and hugs for everyone. Although she’s sociable, Jayla faced bullying her 5th grade year! Jayla didn’t realized she was being bullied! She considered her classmates as being “mean girls”. After one particular incident, Jayla reported the girls and how they mistreated her. Jayla began recognizing she was being bullied but still wanted to see the good in others. Jayla still wanted to be friends and find out why they disliked her! Jayla took this Bullying seriously afterwards and helps others that she witnesses being bullied. Jayla decided to run for school President and was elected! Jayla wanted to work to make changes at her school. Jayla started by writing and publishing a book on Littering and now wants to write a book on Bullying! Jayla wants to strive to help others!
